October 2017 Wrap Up

Happy Halloween!

October has come and gone. And it is crazy to think that. November is coming up and it is bringing so many amazing things. But October brought many amazing things as well. I read a book, watched some movies, and did a few things that made me really happy. But just so we don’t have a really long intro here, let’s just jump into the wrap-up.

BOOKS READ:

So I might have just read one book this month… This month was really crazy and I rarely had time to read this month. I’ll explain all of this later and I’m pretty sure that I have fallen into a reading slump which sucks.

Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse, #2)

Living Dead in Dallas by: Charlaine Harris
Sookie Stackhouse has her life planned out now. With her brother out of trouble with the police, her grandmother’s killer has been revealed after he tried to kill her, and she has an amazing Vampire boyfriend named Bill. With a mission from Eric Northman, Sookie and Bill are heading off to Dallas, Texas to go and figure out what is going on with all of their vampires. What Kept Me Busy This Month:

This month, I basically was MIA. I know and I feel terrible about it. I tried but I failed. Some of you might know that I did my first year of marching band and practice has been crazy. I have practice on every single Tuesday and Thursday and it really cuts back the time I have to do anything. I have been practicing like crazy the music and I don’t practice little. I practice for like an hour and a half so there goes some more of my time. On top of the homework I get, my schedule has been full.

I am currently taking American History and I just got done with a project that took about three weeks to do. I had to go and research Thomas Jefferson and make like a cereal box about him. I spent so much time on that project and I bet you that my teacher didn’t read it. Not only did I have to work on my project, my friend was having printer problems so I was trying to help him with his printer. The scary thing is this: I have been friends with him for like 2 1/2 years and that was the first time I truly Snapchatted him. Like we text and all but we never really Snapchat each other. It’s weird I know. But this project was a lot more time consuming than I thought.

This friend and I have been going at lunch to see the College Advisor just because we have absolutely no idea what we want to do or where we want to go anymore. I thought I had a plan but I have no idea anymore. I have changed my mind so much. We have gone a few times to talk to her. She really doesn’t give us any information but ideas of places to look for. This friend has no changed their mind like five times on where they want to go and I am so proud that I am able to say that they are taking me on this ride. At one point in time, we thought about going to the same college but our majors (at least our current ones) don’t really match up.

CURRENT OBSESSIONS:

True Blood –
I might have rewatched this show this month just because I started rereading the books… But I forgot how much I loved this show. And no matter how many times I watch it (this might have been the third time), I always forget some of what happens. I love the relationships and the mystery that happens. Everything that occurs, I am in love it. If you haven’t seen this show, I don’t know what else to tell you but go and watch this show. Good luck telling me you don’t like it.

Thomas Jefferson –
Call me crazy but after doing that project, I really loved learning about him. Thomas Jefferson was an interesting person. Did you guys know that his first wife was also his third cousin? And his unofficial second wife was his first wife’s half-sister. And this isn’t all the women that his might have possibly slept with since he did have a few lady friends in France which is just disgusting. But that was how it worked in a sense back then. Men would go away and see other women. Look it up. It is crazy how many men did it back then.

My Birthday??? –
I know it sounds weird but I am really excited for my birthday. Not my actual birthday but the day my family is celebrating it. Since my sister and I’s birthday is so close together, we typically do it on the same day. The other day, a package turned up on our doorstep and my mom established a rule where we are not allowed to look at the name of where it comes from because it might blow the gift. My sisters and I were coming home from school when my sister said, “it is from Target.” Automatically, I knew what it was because I asked my mom for three things for my birthday. Season 5 of Bates Motel and both of the deluxe editions of Taylor Swift’s reputation. Since reputation is not out yet, I wonder what it might be. And the best part of this package (I’m being sarcastic and rolling my eyes while I typed this), there was a rip on the back and I saw what was inside of it. Great. Now all I really want is Bates Motel season 5 in my hands!

Have you read this book? What did you think about it? Have you seen any of these movies? What were your thoughts? How was your October? What was your favorite book and movie you watched in October? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Happy Reading,
