Guilty Reader Book Tag

Hey, guys! How are you all? How’s life? I’m good. I’m back with another book tag though and I actually planned it! So while we all sit here and continue on with our lives, I hope you all take some time and read this tag! I saw Jenn do this over on Thrice Read do it and I really enjoyed it. I decided to do it. I have no idea where this is going so I guess we should just jump into the tag now.

Have You Ever Regifted A Book That You’ve Been Given?

I don’t think so but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t. I love to collect books. Even if I hated or disliked the book, I love having them. I buy books even if I don’t read that copy. What makes you think I would regift a book if I won’t even let people look at my books?

Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t?

I remember this one time when I was about 10 or 11 and I was on this site called Stardoll. Stardoll was like Facebook to me in the day. I was sitting around and me and this other user were talking about books. She goes and asks me if I read a certain book and for some reason, I go and tell her that I had read it. I learned what Cliff Notes were that day and vowed to never use them in my life. Since that day, no. No, I have never done this.

Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

Nope. I’m not a person who really likes to borrow other people’s books. I like to have my own copy of a book because then I really don’t need to worry about keeping up with the book.

Have you ever read a series out of order?

Yep, BUT it was on accident. I sort of read the 9th book in The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot before I read any of the other books. Since that day, I google the series numbers before I read a book.

Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

I don’t think so. I know that I spoiled parts of The 100 for my mom on accident and she did the same to me but I don’t think I have done a book. I don’t like to be spoiled so I don’t spoil others.

Have you ever doggy eared a book?

Only when I was younger. Since I was in 5th grade, I have hated people who dog-ear pages. I get on my sisters all the time for it. I also get on one of my best friends for doing the same thing. He has yet to learn.

Have you ever told someone you don’t own a book when you do?

All the time. Whenever one of my favorite books comes out with another cover, I sort of tell my dad that I don’t have it so he will buy it for me. I don’t tell my friends that I don’t have a certain book or so. None of my friends really read like I do.

Have you ever told someone you haven’t read a book when you have?

I like people knowing what books I have or have not read. If I see someone with one of my favorite books, I will go on some really long rant about how great this book is. I like to sort of brag about all the books I read.

Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

Nope. That doesn’t mean that I haven’t wanted to while I was reading a book. My fear is I would be missing something really important if I skipped parts of it.

Have you ever bad mouthed a book you actually liked?

If I have, I don’t remember it! I like to share my honest opinion about books. That doesn’t mean I have read a book and read it again and thought two different things though. I created this blog to share my thoughts about the books I read. Not to lie to everyone.

I Tag:

Lysi @ Living One Day @ A Time

Casey @ adoptabookaus

Zoe @ mylifewithbooks

And of course, anyone else who wants to do this tag!

Have you done any of these things before?  What is one bad habit you do with your books? What are you currently reading? Is it any good? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Happy Reading,
unnamed

  1. Awesome tag! I actually love badmouthing some books I like, like teasing a court of mist and fury for saying MATE so many times GAHH XD or if I like the book but there’s a character that annoys me. Your answers are awesome, I skip POV’s if I dont like em and just ask some one who’s read it what happened in them parts because they drain the book for me xD

    1. Thanks! I’m glad that you liked the tag! I don’t know why but when I badmouth a book that I actually liked, it feels like I’m committing a crime or something. I love to sometimes over exaggerate about the book though.

    1. Thanks! Books are like my children. They have their own set of rules that they need to be cared with. Dog-ear pages just bother me so much! Maybe that’s why I hate borrowing library books….
