Game of Thrones (Season 7) |TV Show Review

So apparently there is going to be a season 8??? For some reason, I thought that the show was ending after this season but it isn’t. I’m not complaining though. I would have been fine without the next season. But season 7 has ended and I’m bringing a review for you. Just with spoilers. Who can keep their mouth shut about this show? Plus, if you follow me on Twitter, you know how crazy I get with this show.

George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book series “A Song of Ice and Fire” is brought to the screen as HBO sinks its considerable storytelling teeth into the medieval fantasy epic. It’s the depiction of two powerful families — kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and honest men — playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne.

My Review:

Picking up where season 6 stopped, Arya has gotten back to her old self, where she has killed the whole House Frey. Jon Snow and Sansa Stark are in charge of the north, with the help of Littlefinger. Ceresi isn’t believing she is hearing about the white walkers. But these white walkers are real and they are coming. Bran is making his way back home, just trying to deal with his power to be the third eye raven. And now Daenerys is coming up with a way to over throw Ceresi, with the help of some unlikely people.

On twitter, I basically went through years of rants while I was watching the show or right after the show. And there were so many times that I tweeted random things and the same thing over and over again. But right after I tweeted these things, it was crazy how many views I got. I’m not complaining though. This show will never be done in my heart. Plus, if you read my rants, you know this was my favorite season. It was amazing.

I can’t help myself here but I LOVE THESE COSTUME DESIGNERS. The outfits that were worn through the season where amazing. Can I just tell you much I loved that one outfit that Daenerys was wearing when she went to save Jon and the others; and when the white walkers gained a dragon that left me heart broken. And the way that these outfits always flowed together with the scene. One thing I have always wondered about was the fact that no one ever got blood on themselves. Like seriously? But these costumes were just so beautiful and I would love to have Sansa’s and Daenerys’ outfits in my closet. I don’t care if I sweat to death. At least I’ll be warm.

So can I talk about how much I want to see certain people together now? I have always been a shipper of Sansa and Jon. It was one of those things that I almost never got the relationship between them in the first place. I always sort of knew that they were never related in the first place. But Daenerys and Jon are so cute even though they are related. And I am totally fine with it. I don’t care how gross it is to think about it, I want it to happen. I honestly sort of still wish for Sansa and Jon, but I’m totally okay with Daenerys and Jon. But then we have Jamie and Ceresi, who is know PREGNANT?!?!?! Like really? Since Jamie and Ceresi are now in the mist, since Ceresi basically kicked Jamie out of her life, I really want to see them back together. But there are still so many more people I ship that this post could go on forever.

The writing of this season was just amazingly done and these writers knew how to make my die of happiness and sadness. There were so many things that were hinted through the season that you really didn’t pick up until the end. The show had so many twist and turns that I really enjoyed. I love these dragons way too much and these stupid writers decided to play with them way too much. There was the time that they tried to kill a dragon, and the time they did kill a dragon and it turned into a WHITE WALKER DRAGON! One thing I also really enjoyed about this writing was the fact there were so many things you could wonder about and hope that could happen. Like I said, I went on Twitter rants and while I was on twitter, I would go and read what other people thought. There were so many interesting thoughts that I couldn’t help but make my mind spin in circles.

The directing and the production of this show. Where to begin. Was there even a budget for this show? I’m dead serious here. There were so many times that the scene was just amazing that I couldn’t help but wonder how many times that scene was shot and how much money was spent on it. I’m not complaining though because it was done beautifully. Each director had their own way of directing and somehow it felt like it was only one person doing all that work. The editing crew did such a great job, which they have done since the very beginning of this show. The whole thing was done just spectacularly.

Overall, I would have to give this season a good 5 out of 5. This season had to be, by far my favorite season. There are so many things I wanted to see and I did and I can’t wait to see where season 8 goes. My only complaint comes from how short the season was. There should have been a million more episodes because I needed more Mexican Coke (also known as Coca Cola de México) and snack food nights with my dad. And two things: Even though TGI Friday’s mozzerella sticks are a million times better than Farm Rich mozzerella sticks. And also, Mexican Coke is a million times better than regular Coke. After years of drinking Mexican Coke, I can’t go back to Regular Coke. Just to put this out there as well, it is actually called Mexican Coke. I even googled it. It is made in Mexico and has real cane sugar in it.

Have you watched season 7 of Game of Thrones? What was your favorite season? Do you want there to be another season? Who is your favorite character? Did you read the books before you watched the show? What did you think about this season? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Happy Reading,
