In the beginning of the year, I was walking around my local Books-A-Million and I finally caved into buying these insanely adorable book covers that I had been planning on buying for a while. Every time I had gone, I would always stop and look at them because they are so amazing. That day, I finally decided to buy the first book in the series and I completely loved it. I loved everything and I found one of my new favorite authors. it isn’t the first time that I have talked about this amazing author but I really want you all to know about her too. Her name is Estelle Maskame and welcome to her author talk.
A Little About Estelle Maskame:
Hey! I’m Estelle Maskame, I’m twenty years old, and I’m a lover and writer of Young Adult fiction. I’m the author of the Did I Mention I Love You? trilogy and my latest novel, Dare to Fall, was released in July 2017! At the moment, I write contemporary YA, but may test out the waters in other genres in the future.
I grew up in the fishing town of Peterhead in the North-east of Scotland where I still live today, surrounded by my big ol’ family who are endlessly supportive of my writing.
When I was seventeen, I signed my first book deal with Black & White Publishing. I left school and now write full-time from the comfort of my bed, mostly. I may be biased, but I think it’s the best job in the world.

About Her Books:
Did I Mention I Love You? Trilogy
The eldest of the three is Tyler Bruce, a troubled teenager with a short temper and a huge ego. Complete polar opposites, Eden quickly finds herself thrust into a world full of new experiences as Tyler’s group of friends take her under their wing. But the one thing she just can’t understand is Tyler, and the more she presses to figure out the truth about him, the more she finds herself falling for the one person she shouldn’t – her step-brother.
Throw in Tyler’s clingy girlfriend and a guy who has his eyes set on Eden, and there’s secrets, lies and a whole lot of drama. But how can Eden keep her feelings under control? And can she ever work out the truth about Tyler?
Did I Mention I Love You is the first book in the phenomenal DIMILY trilogy, following the lives of Eden Munro and Tyler Bruce as they try to find their way in an increasingly confusing world.
Dare To Fall
MacKenzie Rivers seems like she has it all figured out. She has great friends, she’s doing well in school and her handsome ex-boyfriend is desperate to win her back. But something is missing from her life in Windsor, Colorado. And as much as she hates to admit it, that something might be Jaden Hunter. Tall, blond and athletic, a year ago Kenzie was falling fast for him and his crooked smile.
Twelve months later, everything has changed. A tragic accident has destroyed Jaden’s family and, despite the way she feels, Kenzie has no idea how to talk to him anymore. She is all too familiar with the impact family tragedy can have on the people she loves, and she can t bear to go through it again with Jaden. She does the only thing she knows how to do: walk away.
When the pair meet again by chance one night, Kenzie realizes that she can’t ignore her feelings for him any longer. But as she is drawn back into Jaden’s life, she finds herself caught between her increasingly volatile best friend, her interfering ex-boyfriend and her own fears about opening up to Jaden.
Will Kenzie dare to fall for the one person she’s so afraid of growing close to?
My Opinions on Estelle Maskame:
I love this woman. Can I even call her a woman since she’s so young?! She has this sense in writing that I feel like most authors don’t get until they are a lot older and wrote a lot more books. I think that her age really helps when it comes to writing YA novels and the romance that occurs within them. Estelle has this power that is so captivating and so energetic that I really wish that I could have. And don’t even get me started on the fact that she is absolutely gorgeous! Have you ever seen a picture of her? If I was a few years older and lived near her, I would die to be one of her friends. I would die to get the chance to talk to her. If you are looking for an author who can write about forbidden romance or all the things that can happen wrong at the wrong moment, she is the author for you. Just because the topic of forbidden love has been done and mostly done wrong, Estelle Maskame does it right. I really wish that more people would go on and read some of her work because it is outstanding. If you ever get the chance to read one of her works, you should take that opportunity and do it.
Have you read anything by Estelle Maskame? What did you think about it? Have you gotten to meet her? What was it like? What is your favorite book by her? Who is your favorite author and why? Is there any author that you would want me to do this for? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
