Music Genre Book Tag: Volume 2

Two tags right in a row! That used to be really normal for me but for some reason, I haven’t done it in a while. Since I did a TV Show tag yesterday, why not do a music related tag today! I was tagged by the amazing Jay @ This Is My Truth Now to participate in the tag! Make sure you go and check him out as well because his blog is amazing! Anyway, let’s get into the blog before I bore you to death.

Celtic Punk:
Favorite Obscure Book/A Book with a Non-Western Setting

Did I Mention I Love You series by Estelle Maskame. I know that there are a few people that have heard of the series but I don’t feel like enough people have read them. I think I have talked about this book in almost every book tag I have done recently. The covers are beautiful and so is the writing.

Classical:
Favorite Classic/Book that Should Become a Classic

I’m waiting for the day that Charlaine Harris’ The Sookie Stackhouse Series becomes a classic. Those books have changed the world with the fantasy world of vampires, werewolves, fairies, etc. It even got turned into a show, True Blood. One day these will be classics.

Soul/ RnB:
A Powerful Book

Lily Collins’ Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me has to take the spot. This book opened up my mind to so many new things I have never even thought about. If you have not read this book, you should go and get this book. NOW!

Cover Songs (Original):
Favorite Retelling

Do I even need to spell this out? A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. It’s a retelling of Beauty and The Beast. My boyfriend is also in the series so I really love it. I have read this book twice and each time has been magical for me!

Soundtrack:
Favorite Book to Movie Adaptation/Adapted Book

This is sort of hard because I really don’t have a favorite book to movie adaptation. I think I would have to go with Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon though. That book was amazing and I loved it so much. The movie was pretty good and one of the closest adaptions I have ever seen.

Rock and Roll:
An Action Packed Book

George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones series. You don’t even need to read the books to know that is the answer here. We have all these battles and love that there is something happening on every page.

Pop:
A Book with a Pretty Cover that You Lost Interest In

The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon. I loved her first book, which you guys read earlier so when I saw that she was releasing another book, I was so excited. I loved the cover so I was happy. I started reading it and it was not my thing. The premise was a good idea. I just didn’t like the book.

Reggae:
Favorite Seasonal Book

Good question in which I don’t have an answer for. I don’t honestly read that many books that are based on seasons.

Country:
A Historical Fiction Book That Wasn’t For You/You Loved

I talk about this book so much. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I didn’t even finish the book because I couldn’t. I’m not a big fan of historical fiction in the first place. I just couldn’t do that book. It was terrible.

I Tag:

Sam @ RiverMoose-Reads

Cassiopeia’s Moon @ A Very Fantasy Corner of Books

Tina @ The Book Raven

And of course, anyone else who would like to do the tag!

Have you read any of these books? What did you think about them? What would your answers be for the tag? Do you agree with me or disagree with any of my answers? What is your favorite song right now? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Happy Reading,
unnamed

    1. I can’t wait to read your answers! 🙂 The book series is really good! I’m actually planning on rereading the series sometime soon. Of course; like most shows, the books and the show is very different but it is still really good.
