Cassandra Clare’s Announcement!

The other day I was doing my weekly stalking on Facebook when  I came across something very interesting. I am part of this Shadowhunter’s group and the one member shared an article including the words Magnus Bane and Cassandra Clare so I had to click it. What I found out was something really exciting, and my friends shared the same excitement.

When November 2017 comes around, we will be anticipating Cassandra Clare’ adult series for Magnus Bane! Yes, this will be Cassie’s first adult trilogy but it shouldn’t be too different from her Young Adult books. It is unknown is it will follow some of the stories from The Bane Chronicles but I am still really excited. The trilogy will be co-written by Wesley Chu.

Wesley Chu is a science fiction author. He was originally raised by his grandparents in Taiwan while his parents were studying in the United States. In 1982, he joined his parents in Lincoln, Nebraska, later settling in Chicago in 1990. He received a degree in management information systems from the University of Illinois, worked consulting jobs, then spent ten years in the banking industry. He has acted in film and television, and has also worked as a stuntman.

The trilogy is supposed to reveal to readers the secrets behind Magnus and his life. Cassie started to tease the series on her twitter page, say that readers have not seen the end of Magnus and talking about some secret project. Cassie has asked her fans on Twitter where Magnus and Alec should travel to because they “will travel the world”. Cassie has stated, “Over the years writing the Shadowhunter books, Magnus Bane has emerged as one of the most fun and fascinating characters for me to bring to life. He’s always had a lot of secrets — there are so many things we don’t know about Magnus, from the story of his first love to the secrets of his parentage, to the beginning of his relationship with Alec. All those are things I was able to touch on in The Bane Chronicles, but I’m excited to dig in even more deeply in these three volumes devoted to Magnus, his past, his future, and his present.”

When I first read the article about this, I texted a screenshot of the article to my friends that had read the series and love it. Like me, they all were about to kill me because they didn’t believe me at first but when I sent them the screenshot, they believed me and they wanted it to be November 2017. I don’t really know what to expect but it’s Magnus Bane. You never know with Magnus Bane.

How do you feel about a Magnus Bane trilogy? How much did you enjoy Magnus? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Happy Reading,

❤ Ann
